King Abdulaziz University (KAU) (Arabic: جامعة الملك عبد العزيز) is a public university in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

King Abdul Aziz University, named after the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, founded in 1967 as a private university by a group of businessmen led by Sheikh Mohammed ABU Bakr Bahashab Pasha and author Hamza Bogari. In 1967, King Abdulaziz University was officially established as a private university with the goal of popularizing higher education in western Saudi Arabia.
