The 3+3 BA/JD program between the University of California, Santa Cruz, and the Hastings College of Law at the University of California, San Francisco, accepted its first applicants in fall 2014. 

UCSC students who declare their intention at the beginning of their freshman or sophomore year will complete three years at UCSC before moving on to the University of California at Hastings to begin a three-year law program. Credits from the first year of law school count toward the student’s bachelor’s degree. Students who successfully complete the first year of the law program will receive a bachelor’s degree and be able to graduate with a UCSC program and then continue their studies for two years at the University of California, Hastings.
